Noida: Every year, on 31st May, the World Health Organization (WHO) and global partners observe World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). The yearly campaign is a chance to bring light on the destructive and fatal impacts of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.
“The focal point of World No Tobacco Day 2019 is on lung health. The campaign will expand awareness on the adverse effect that tobacco has on individuals’ lung health, from malignant tumours to chronic respiratory disease and the fundamental job lungs play for the health and well-being unsurprisingly”, said Dr. Sandeep Marwah (President Marwah Studios) while releasing the poster at Asian Academy of Film and Television.
The campaign likewise serves as a call to action, advocating for viable strategies to lessen tobacco consumption and connecting with stakeholders over multiple sectors in the fight for tobacco control.
