Noida: Autism Awareness Day was observed at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City to educate the depth of the issue to the media students of AAFT University of Media and Arts on 2nd April, a day chosen by the United Nations.
“While technological advances are ceaseless, there are still major barriers to the utilization of assistive technologies, including high cost, limited availability, lack of awareness of their potential, and an absence of training in their utilization. Accessible information demonstrates that, in a few developing nations, over half of the people with incapacities who need assistive devices are not able to get them,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah (Chancellor of University of Media and Arts) while releasing the poster of WAAD presented by ICMEI.
Present on the occasion was Neetika Chadha Sablok, who read the message by United Nations. “On World Autism Awareness Day, we speak out against discrimination, celebrate the diversity of our global community and strengthen our commitment to the full inclusion and participation of people with autism. Supporting them to achieve their full potential is a vital part of our efforts to uphold the core promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: to leave no one behind.”, said António Guterres (Secretary-General of United Nations).
