Kasauli: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism and Transport Cooperatives of India Limited, Dr. Sandeep Marwah visited Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh to see for himself what more changes can be brought to have a superior tourism industry.
Kasauli is a cantonment and town, situated in Solan area in the territory of Himachal Pradesh. The British Raj set up the cantonment in 1842 as a Colonial hill station 77 km from Shimla.
“The principal issue that I saw is the congested driving conditions at the hills to reach to the hotels. Small and narrow streets can’t accommodate the traffic to the hills, particularly in summers. Bottlenecks of the roads must be rectified quickly, otherwise the excellent hill station will lose its appeal”, said Dr. Sandeep Marwah talking to the press.
“Himachal in itself is a delightful area for film shootings. Government ought to urge movie producers to approach and explore the untouched beauty of the state. Some subsidies must be arranged quickly,” added Dr. Marwah.
Sandeep Marwah was prior going about as Ambassador of Tourism for State of Himachal. The meeting took place at Hotel Varefamily in Kasauli.
