Noida: H.E. Muhamed Cengic (Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India) was honoured by a standing ovation on signing the Memorandum of Understanding with International Chamber of Media and Entertainment when India and Bosnia decided to work together to promote arts and culture of both the countries. The event took place at Asian Academy of Film and Television at Noida Film City.
“The MoU is covering development of journalism, radio, television, cinema, tourism, animation, hospitality, fashion, design, performing and fine Arts, skill development, environment, solar energy etc. in both the countries India and Bosnia,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah (President of ICMEI).
“We have been dealing with Dr. Marwah and ICMEI for last four years. We have full confidence in his capacity and capability. His experience in these fields will bring faster results in building up powerful relation between two countries,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic.
He went on to appreciate Dr Marwah’s interest in the country of Bosnia by honouring him with a memento of appreciation.
Dr. Sandeep talked about how a special student committee has been formed in Asian Education Group and is currently working on subjects like fashion, tourism, cinema and have also prepared a research book for Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum created by H.E. Sabit Subasic, the former Ambassador to India. A copy of the report was also handed over to Mr. Cengic.
A poster was also released to mark respect to the completion of first year of formation of Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum.
Ashok Tyagi (Secretary General ICMEI) briefed the ambassador with the details of last activities under IBFCF. A visit of media delegation to Bosnia, a festival of films from Bosnia, an AAFT scholarship for the deserving students from Bosnia, and participation in 7th Global Festival of Journalism were the key points discussed in the meeting.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah ended the event by presenting Patronship to the new Ambassador H.E. Muhamed Cengic. He was elated to be the Chairman of Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum nominated by the Government of Bosnia and assured that he will leave no stone unturned to make it a popular and powerful organization.
