AAFT celebrates National Voters’ Day, urges youth to vote

Noida: In an effort to urge young voters to partake in the political process, since 2011 Government of India has been observing January 25 annually as “National Voters’ Day”. It marks the foundation of Election Commission which was formed on 25th January, 1950.

Complementing the efforts of the government, a National Voters Day was observed and celebrated at Marwah Studios.

“It is essential to persuade young students to get themselves enrolled in voters list and afterward encourage them to their right to cast a vote, and as our first step towards that we have chosen to observe Voters Day at AAFT”, said Sandeep Marwah (President of Asian Education Group).

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner of Scouts and Guides Rak K. P. Sinha mentioned, “We need leaders like Sandeep Marwah to engender this subject of Voters Day through media. 14 lakhs cadets-part of Scouts and Guides, spreading all over India, should be included soon in the voters list”.

A poster was launched to honour Voters Day at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida within the sight of media students of Asian Academy of Film And Television.
